Blowing bubbles...

I don't have any pictures to post, but I just had to write about Ashlee's swimming lessons. You see, I put her in swim lessons last week and was pretty nervous how she would do. We went swimming alot last summer, but she was always more interested in eating than getting in the pool! These lessons are not just the kind were you splash around, they actually work with you and your child on learning to SWIM. At any rate, my worries were unwarranted. Ashlee is a total natural in the pool. Just today at her 2nd lesson she let me put her under water 6 TIMES! She abslutely LOVES the time in the pool and the rest of the day she talks about "blowing bubbles". I am so happy that she loves the water because her mommy and daddy are fishes themselves!

My 11 year Valentine...

This year Dale and I realized that we have been each other's Valentine for 11 years (that doesn't include the years we dated in high school or were friends in college)! We were reminiscing about old times...like our first date where our PARENTS had to drop off us at the movie, the day he got his first car, when we graduated high school, the days when we commuted between Ft. Collins and Denver ALL the time, when we were stuck on a rainy cruise for 12 days, when I turned 21 and he took me to Vegas , when our room in Belize smelled like a sewer, when he got a 2nd degree sunburn in Hawaii and almost jumped off the balcony (I'm not kidding), the day we were blessed with our beautiful daughter, and all those summers on our boat having fun in the sun and just enjoying life to its fullest. It amazes me how he has been such an important and integral part of my life for 18 years! I am such a lucky woman to have an amazing man by my SIDE who loves me and our daughter. I love you DJ always and forever!

New developments...

*Ashlee can count to 10! I have been trying to get it on video, but everytime she says it so quiet you can't hear her.
*She said a 4 word sentence this morning...Mommy's juice all gone!
*She loves to pinch cheeks. Which is so cute when she does it to momma and dadda, but not so cute when she does it to babies!
*When I went in her room this morning, she was already up and had put her shoes and socks on all by herself!
*She has suddenly learned the word MINE and uses it frequently!
*Yesterday at toddler time she actually had fun! It only took her about 15 minutes to warm up ...quite an improvement!

Does ANYONE know how you make them STOP growing up????
