TUBING!

The kiddos: Anthony, Jacob, Kira, Camden and Ash
Dj, Shaylee, Dede, Camden and Anthony taking a break in between rapids!
Dj going down a rapid! Doesn't it look like a blast?
Camden taking a shot down a rapid with Dj right behind him.
Phew! They made it!
Me and Ash taking watching everyone from the bridge.
Oh my gosh! I can't believe I've lived in Colorado since I was 15 and never been tubing. It is hands-down my new favorite weekend activity! It is SO much fun and a great way to see beautiful Colorado! We went up to Boulder a few weekends ago and tubed Boulder Creek. We had planned on a nice, easy, lazy ride down a river...Boulder Creek is NOT that! So much so that all the kids except Camden and Anthony got out after about 100 ft...even Uncle Steven! Ashlee didn't even get in, but the next day she said to me "Mom, I had fun rivering!"

LADYBUGS!!!

Ashlee is obsessed with bugs. All bugs, but especially ants, grasshoppers, spiders and ladybugs! We were at the flower store the other week and she saw a bag of live ladybugs and just HAD to have them! The employee at the store said they had to be released at night, so she carried them with her everywhere all day. She hugged them, named them, talked to them, etc.. Come evening she was SO excited to let them go. As we shook them out of the bag they crawled all over her arms and hands, she thought that was pretty cool!

Ash with her bag of ladybugs

Not the best picture, but you can see a few ladybugs on her fingers and arm!

Peas in a Pod

One of my favorite pics of Ashlee and Lulu.

Little cutie

2 nights ago after I put Ashlee to bed I was in the living room folding laundry. I could hear her up there talking away about something. So I tiptoed to her door and this is what I heard:

"We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine. We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine."

I just have to post this...

Not sure if this is blog ettiquette, but its too frickin' funny to EVER forget.

I walked out on the back deck this afternoon and saw Ashlee squatting in the grass.
Me: Ashlee! What are you doing?
Ash: Going poop.
Me: What the???
Ash: But Lulu does it all the time.

At this I was speachless....

Ashlee's first dance class

Last week Ashlee had her very first dance class! She was SO excited that we had to do a countdown for the 7 days before. When the teacher told me that parents had to wait outside because it was too much of a disruption, I was pretty nervous how it would go down with lil' peanut. However, when the time came I showed her where I was going to sit and she gave me a kiss and smile and said "Bye"! I was extremly impressed with my shy little girl! Everytime I looked in the window she was doing exactly what the teacher had asked and with a big smile on her face! After class the first thing she told me was "I listened to my teacher and got a sticker!"
Oh, I forgot to mention that my little cutie was the only one not in a black leotard and pink tights. Apparently there is a dress code for 3 year old dance classes! :)

Happy Father's Day!

We love you Dj! Thank you for being such a wonderful father and husband! xoxoxoxo
