Dale and I had been throwing around the idea of a trip, maybe even a road trip, for about a month or so. You see, we are very lucky and have access to an amazing motor home and its an extremely convienant way to travel with a 2 1/2 year old. Now that Dale doesn't fly for free anymore the idea of taking the motor home was looking more and more attractive.
One Sunday in June we woke up and started talking about visiting Dale's bro and his family out in Vegas. Then we thought, hey, we could see the Grand Canyon on the way! I've always wanted to go to the GC (on my list of things to do before I die). Then Dale throws out hey, let's take Ashlee to Sea World while we are out there! So before you know it we are leaving the next day and taking a 2 week trip out West!

It was a truly amazing trip. I could go on and on and on and on....but I won't! I'll just say this was the first trip I have ever taken and not been craving home. Maybe its because I had the 2 people I love the most with me, maybe because the motor home truly is a traveling HOME, or maybe its because we did so much fun stuff...who knows? All in all we were gone 2 weeks, saw Meteor Crater, AZ, the GC, Hoover Dam, Vegas BABY, San Diego and Sea World twice! We were also able to spend some great time with Steven, Jen and the kids in Vegas (thank you SO much for your wonderful hospitality..we love you!) and Tommy, Dede and the kids joined us in San Diego. Who says 8 people in a motor home is crowded? NOT US!
Here are some pics from our adventure. Enjoy!
Let's go mom and dad!
Meteor Crater, AZ
The Grand Canyon! The sun wasn't out so the colors were not as vivid, but it was still beautiful.
Ash and DJ at the GC
Hoover Dam. See the new bridge they are building in the background?
The Hoover Dam was one of the coolest things we saw on our trip. It truly is amazing what man can build.
Giving Ash some love at Sea World.
Aunt Jen and Ash checking out the ice wall at Sea World
Ashlee and I feeding the stingrays, this was her FAVORITE part of Sea World.
SHAMU!
Kira, Ash and Camden at Sea World. She loved being with her cousins and they took such good care of her!

The Demos and the Ervins trying to figure out which way to go!
This is how this photo happened. Ash looked at me and said "Mama, take picture!" Way too cute to pass up.
Here Dadda, let me help you with that!
